Workers Comp Class Codes
Class codes are four digit codes, produced by the National Council on Compensation Insurance, used to classify businesses for workers’ compensation insurance. For example, a framer would be considered NCCI code “5645”.
These codes are used to collect data to help insurance companies classify and underwrite businesses for workers compensation insurance.
The National Council collects this data for:
-Statistical purposes
-Making and filing rates; and
-Performing functions of rate administration.
